Hulk Hogan became one of the most recognized pro wrestlers in the world after his unprecedented success with WWE. He won championships and headlined WrestleMania after WrestleMania. His face was everywhere you went as he grew into a pop culture icon, getting movie roles and all that. What really preceded his pro wrestling fame was his role in Rocky III. It exposed him to a bigger audience gaining national recognition and WWE capitalized on that.

Hogan jumped ship from WWE to WCW in the 90s and hid away with his babyface All-American persona for a few years. The black and white of nWo replaced the red and yellow as Hulk Hogan transitioned into the heel Hollywood Hogan. But what remained constant was his famed ‘horseshoe mustache’. However, a rare photo has resurfaced, which shows ‘The Hulkster’ in a different avatar and without his recognizable mustache.
Fans react to old Hulk Hogan photo without his trademark mustache
Hulk Hogan was one of the first pro wrestlers whose popularity opened the gateways of Hollywood for him. After starring in Rocky III, he had a few other movies under his belt. In 1997, during his time with WCW, he starred in an action movie, where he led a Navy SEALS team on a rescue mission.
A photo from that film recently resurfaced on Twitter. It shows the former WWE Champion standing wearing a Navy uniform. He sports a bush full of his mullet, but surprisingly, his famous horseshoe mustache is nowhere.

The movie also featured Carl Weathers, who is standing alongside Hogan in the photo. After this photo went online, fans had a field day on seeing Hogan in this entirely different avatar. This look of Hogan is from the 1997 movie, Assault on Devil’s Island. In the movie, Hulk Hogan leads an elite Navy SEALS team to rescue a group of people held captive by some drug lord soldiers who want their leader released.
