“Not Even Close”: 33-Year-Old WWE Superstar Reveals Triple H’s Role Behind Her Current Position on the Roster

SummerSlam 2022 was the kickstart to Triple H having creative control in WWE. Since then, fans have witnessed several changes in the product with many new ideas. Fans also saw a new faction at the biggest party of summer last year and a 33-year-old WWE Superstar recently credited Triple H with its success.

While appearing for an interview with Ariel Helwani, Bayley shared the backstory of Damage CTRL. When Helwani asked if would she have her own group if Triple H wasn’t in charge, to which she said, “No, not even close”. 

Further, The Role Model also shed a light on what would be her position in WWE. She said, “To be honest I don’t know. I didn’t know any ideas that they had for me. Even if I asked creatives they weren’t really sure because there were waiting until I’m a hundred percent clear.”

She added, “So I had no idea what I was doing. To me, I feel like I would’ve just fallen back into the same place that I was, not that that’s a bad thing because I didn’t get to do anything with them.”

Bayley also talked about pitching the Damage CTRL idea to The King of Kings. She recalled Triple H telling her to come up with an idea for her group. 

Moreover, the three-time Women’s Champion also told Helwani about having 4-5 members in her stable. She named Tegan Nox as one star who could have a run in her faction.

How Bayley looks at Damage CTRL after Triple H approved the stable

As per The Role Model, even if the group wasn’t formed, she “would’ve turned it up a million” as a singles star. But Bayley claimed she wanted to add a new layer to her character and also contribute to the women’s division, especially Io Sky and Dakota Kai.

Bayley said, “I don’t know there’s just more to it that just being me and worrying about me. Now I got these girls to worry about and I love it and I want it.”

A few days ago, she penned an emotional post for Io Sky and Dakota Kai after completing nearly seven months as Damage CTRL. The faction is currently having a feud with Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita. 

The Role Model also shared she would love to have singles match with Lita or The Man at WrestleMania. However, as of now, she wants to have a big WrestleMania moment with Damage CTRL.
