There has been already a never-ending comparison between two of the most influential promotion of the current time, WWE and AEW. There are many social media posts and debates coming around from time to time, highlighting the merits and demerits of both promotions. That being said, it seems like a recent incident gave an extra edge to Stamford’s company to claim themselves better than Tony Khan’s promotion.

AEW’s prominent star, MJF, has been at the center of controversy for quite some time now. From being bullied for AEW’s recent declining viewership to get indulged in offensive behavior with people, he always seems to be on the verge of crossing the line. His recent antics at AEW Revolution caught the attention of many people and WWE Hall of Famer was one of them.

Road Dogg condemned MJF’s unkind act toward a child

At AEW Revolution, the Salt of the Earth drew a lot of criticism his way after throwing alcohol on a kid’s face. The incident primarily looked like an angle, but it wasn’t the case. MJF coming up later with his justification, saying the child ‘looked thirsty’ made the situation more severe.

Recently appearing Oh You Didn’t know podcast, WWE’s veteran star Road Dogg lays down his thoughts on MJF’s notorious act.

Reflecting on how such a shameful incident would never happen in WWE, the former Hall of Famer noted, ‘To me, that’s not a good thing unless that was a plant or somebody’s kid and they knew that it was okay to do that. I don’t think it’s good… I’m thinking about it from a corporate standpoint and I can tell you this much, we wouldn’t do that on one of our shows and if the individual did it on one of our shows, they would probably be punished for it.”

AEW boss Tony Khan also expressed his disgust over the whole thing as it ultimately damaged the image which AEW holds to the fans. Everyone from the company present on the spot instantly tried to cover things up with some sort of damage control. It’s undeniable that the incident drew massive attention to AEW, but it was never the right kind of attention.
