Uncle Howdy finally returned to WWE after more than a year with the rest of his crew as Wyatt Sicks. The audience had a positive reaction to the stable’s re-introduction to the promotion. The Monday Night Raw segment on 06/17 o didn’t portray the full picture as no details of their intentions came to light. But theories and speculation have run rampant. Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez spoke about the first victim of the Wyatt Sicks after their big Monday Night Raw debut and fans may not have seen this coming.

The Wyatt Sicks promo was the closing segment on Monday Night Raw 06/17, meaning that it came up right after the main event for the night. Jey Uso had a triple-threat match on the red brand as the main event to qualify for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Dave Meltzer believes that it wasn’t a coincidence that this was the main event.

I think that’s not a coincidence. He does the entrance with all the lights and he wins and then all the lights [go out]. And then these guys come… He might be the point man in this thing, opined the industry insider on Wrestling Observer Radio. Jey Uso was celebrating when the lights went out and the Wyatt Sicks segment began. Alvarez argued that it could have been any wrestler celebrating at the moment if the card had been different for the night or if somebody else was booked to win. But this is exactly why Meltzer believes that Uso could be getting set up to face either Uncle Howdy or any other entity out of the five.

Jey Uso borrowed from the late Bray Wyatt after performing at the first PLE following WrestleMania XL. And this could be the reason Uso is targetted.

Many considered the reference as a wholesome moment celebrating the life of Wyatt. It even received a positive response from Wyatt’s fiancee. However, that innocent act may not have gone down well with Uncle Howdy & Co.

Could Uncle Howdy be targeting Uso for his Bray Wyatt reference?

At Backlash in France this year, Jey Uso faced the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest for his title, marking the latter’s first title defense. The European fans badly wanted him to win as they cheered him the best way they could during his entry. The crowd initiated a ‘firefly’ sequence by themselves by turning on the flash of their smartphones as the lights went out to welcome the “Main Event” star. Feeling proud of the same, Uso reacted and acknowledged the vociferous reaction he received.

He told the Battleground Podcast “Man, you know, the crazy part is it was so loud in there [at Backlash France], you can’t hear it, if that makes sense because, man, I had no idea they would do that, and as soon as I saw it, I thought it was like how we all thought about him [Wyatt]. It was emotional. I was so overwhelmed by it.” However, most importantly, he remarked on the kind words he received from JoJo Offerman- Bray Wyatt’s fiancee and the mother of his two children.

“I think the most I was validated was, I mean, his wife, JoJo, Bray Wyatt’s wife had text me and just said how much she was emotional watching. She saw clips of it on YouTube and that let me know right there, alright, I’ma keep it. I hope it sticks with me. I never asked for it. They did it and I just wanna keep it with me now,” Uso continued.

This may be something that Uncle Howdy might not take kindly. Howdy &Co may not allow Uso to keep the aspects of Wyatt’s entrance since they could deem it as disrespecting their creator. Since the massacre has already started, Jey Uso might be the next big target for the supernatural stable. What do you make of Meltzer’s opinion that the stable could earmark the former WWE tag team champion as their next target? Who do you think the Wyatt Sicks will target next?
