Cody Rhodes joined an elite list after he managed to pin Brock Lesnar for the second time, at SummerSlam on August 5. The PLE hosted the third and final match of their rivalry. With his win, Rhodes won their three-match rivalry 2-1. The win has not only lent more credibility to The American Nightmare’s current run, but it has also garnered him a popular nickname that once belonged to Seth Rollins.

This has left several of The Visionary’s fans fuming online. They took to X, erstwhile Twitter, to vent anger.

Before Rhodes managed his double victories against The Beast, it was Rollins who managed to humble the 46-year-old pro wrestling icon. The Monday Night Messiah’s victory came at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.

After enduring tremendous pain from Lesnar, Rollins managed to pin him, earning the nickname Beast Slayer. But with Rhodes’ recent win, commentator Michael Cole called him that on the recent episode of RAW.

This did not go well with Rollins’ fans. They protested it.

This fan rejected it straightaway.

Another took offense with the WWE’s push for Rhodes, which was also called out by Rollins earlier.

A third fan said there can be only one Beast Slayer, and it’s not Cody Rhodes.

Others also had similar sentiments, rejecting The Prince of Pro Wrestling.
