Bray Wyatt had the fortune of sharing the ring with many wrestling legends like John Cena, Randy Orton and Goldberg to name a few. He was even passed on the torch by The Undertaker himself. But at Wrestlemania 32, Wyatt had the unique opportunity of working with Dwayne Johnson.

The year was 2016, and The Rock was there to announce that WWE had broken the all-time WrestleMania attendance record. He was then interrupted by The Wyatt Family and what ensued was an impromptu verbal back-and-forth between Johnson and Wyatt that fans will cherish forever.

But recently, Brian Gewirtz who was the WWE head writer then, revealed that the main aim of that promo was to put Bray over. While talking to WrestlingNewsCo he said, “The other thing I would add is that in putting that promo together, the one key in that promo that we wanted to do, above everything else, is Rock putting Bray over.”

And while The Rock did exactly what was expected of him, the fans would beg to differ.

Fans feel The Rock failed in his mission at Wrestlemania 32

Bray Wyatt made an iconic entry at The Grandest Stage Of Them All accompanied by Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman. In his signature charismatic style, Wyatt put down The Rock but Johnson was definitely not gonna take all that lying down. He made multiple wisecracks about The Wyatt Family and then went on to defeat Erick Rowan in just 6 seconds. And that’s why the fans feel The Rock failed in his mission to put Bray over.

One fan just couldn’t believe that The Rock could put anyone over in the WWE.

Fans clearly called it a failed mission.
