Is Solo Sikoa's Tribal Chief run doomed before it even starts with Roman Reigns' return looming?

Roman Reigns was the first one from the current generation of wrestlers to play the gimmick of the Samoan ‘Tribal Chief’. He succeeded many legends before him and filled their shoes in such a way that fans now miss seeing him on screen, ever since he went on a hiatus after WrestleMania XL. The person he appointed to look after The Bloodline is not doing such a good job. The family stable has drastically changed under Solo Sikoa‘s tyranny and, for the worse, as most of the fans would think. However, an industry insider also believes that Sikoa was not fit for this responsibility.

Ever since the former Enforcer of The Bloodline was given the throne to take care of things in Reigns’ absence, fans have been booing Solo Sikoa and chanting Roman Reigns’ name, demanding his return. There have since been several predictions about when the ex-Tribal Chief might come back. Until then, Sikoa is trying to take care of Cody Rhodes and bring the title ‘home’ again.

Viewers might get to see a match between them at SummerSlam this year, but during the Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said, “They’ve done nothing with Solo, nothing. They give him no credibility. I don’t care what his interviews are. I don’t care whatever. This guy between November and today has won two matches.”

Solo Sikoa is being criticized here for his match at Money in the Bank. Although The Bloodline bagged the victory during the main event, Sikoa does not have the credibility of a leader. The Head of the Table also utilized the help from his stable members but was able to intimidate his opponent with his skills. On the contrary, Sikoa gets beat up often and heavily relies on his team.

Solo Sikoa was also criticized for his wardrobe

At the beginning of this new twist in The Bloodline storyline, fans did not appreciate Solo Sikoa’s role because they believed he wouldn’t be able to fill his shoes during the promos. They eventually got used to it, but when WWE introduced the new phase of change, there was a lot of backlash. During a Fightful podcast, a co-host Alexis Cardoza confessed that he did not appreciate the wardrobe team behind Solo Sikoa’s new attire. The suit outfit that they had planned for him did not make him look as intimidating as before.

Have an interesting take?

He continues to adorn the same fit during shows. Moreover, he will stay in the same position for the coming several weeks until Roman Reigns is eligible to confront him. And by ‘eligible’, it means that he would need to build up another Bloodline to face the one that is running around WWE currently. Only the former Undisputed Universal Champion’s return can determine how long Solo Sikoa will remain in power.
