WWE Clash of Champions is underway. Unfortunately, the Women’s titles matches do not seem to be progressing as intended.

Beginning with the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship title match, Bayley was supposed to defend the title against Nikki Cross. However, the news of Nikki Cross not being available was already making the rounds since yesterday.

Now, during the Kickoff for WWE Clash of Champions, the announcement clarified that Nikki Cross does not have medical clearance to be in the ring tonight.

Nevertheless, the current SmackDown champion Bayley will be present. It is expected that regardless of the situation, the current SmackDown champion will make an appearance. This might be to address the situation or even pass a comment about the same.

On the other hand, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match between Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax and the Riott Squad also stands canceled. This match has been rendered impossible considering that both Baszler and Jax have not been given medical clearance to be in the ring.

The two teams have been embroiled in an intense rivalry for the Tag Team Championships. The entire WWE Universe was divided between which of the two teams was better than the other. Clash of Champions would have been where the final decision was made.

WWE Women’s matches will observe a fall

These were two of the important matches that the WWE universe was looking forward to. Moreover, there are only three Women’s titles matches that are scheduled for tonight.

Nonetheless, if this is the case, then there is only one Women’s title match that will take place at WWE Clash of Champions. This match will be between Asuka and Zelina Vega who will be competing for the Raw Women’s Championship.
