Over the course of years, fans have seen WWE trying new stuff in order to spice things up. For that purpose, many times, the promotion has gone out of its way and brought some foreign talent into the business. A perfect example to corroborate this statement would be Bad Bunny and Logan Paul.

WWE didn’t know about their interest in the sport. Plus, both the stars had no relation to pro wrestling before venturing into the world of WWE. That being said, Nick Khan recently revealed how the Stamford-based promotion signed these two pop-culture sensations, which turned out profitable deals for the company.

While speaking at MoffettNathanson’s Inaugural Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference, the CEO of WWE mentioned how beneficial Bunny and Paul were to WWE. After both the stars signed with the company, the audience view’s attraction grew exponentially.

He said, “He(Logan Paul) came in and took it seriously, as did Bad Bunny. It registered. It mattered. Our young audience spiked. Our bread and butter are our full-time superstars, but to be able to bring in Bad Bunny and Logan Paul, and Pat McAfee at different points, it just increases awareness, which is good for us.”

He first began with the Puerto Rican rapper while providing details of the Stamford-based promotion grabbing the hottest stars from different backgrounds. Around October 2020, one day, he was reading a New York Times Sunday magazine cover that featured the music artist.

A lady employee in his company came up to him and told him that he was a huge wrestling fan. She even showed him the Triple H iconic water spit he performed during the Miami Heat game in 2020. That’s how WWE first got to know about his deep interest in pro wrestling.

WWE then approached him with the offer. And he readily accepted it.

“We also replicated that in a different demographic category with Logan Paul, who we were getting pitched on internally by our entertainment relations folks. ‘Logan Paul is going to be the next big thing.’ He came in and took it seriously,” the WWE CEO added.

Khan admitted that both stars’ worldwide influence helped WWE to draw millions of views whenever they performed inside the squared circle. Bunny was last seen squaring off against Damian Priest in WWE Backlash, where he won the match.

Paul’s last match was at WrestleMania 39 against Seth Rollins. The match ended up getting 27.5 million views, as reported by WWE on April 11, 2023.
