Nia Jax’s Return Could Be a Personal Favor From Dwayne Johnson That Vince McMahon Couldn’t Decline

Right now there is just one female superstar terrorizing the women’s division, and she is Nia Jax. Ever since her return to the WWE last month, Jax has been attacking everyone from Rhea Ripley to Raquel Rodriguez and even her Ex-tag team partner Shayna Baszler. But as Jax is cementing her position back into the WWE, news has now emerged as to why she was signed again.

Nia Jax was let go from the WWE in 2021 and this was not because of the budget cuts.

For people who don’t know, Nia Jax is the cousin of both Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns. She belongs to the Anoa’i family which is a renowned Samoan wrestling dynasty. It has also given us superstars like Yokozuna, Rikishi Fatu, Umaga, and currently The Usos and Solo Sikoa.

Being part of such a rich wrestling dynasty puts a lot of pressure on one’s shoulders. But Nia Jax has been navigating her career smoothly through the WWE. It was all hunky-dory for Jax until 2021 when she was removed from the WWE. Then after almost two years, she made her return to RAW, first targeting Raquel Rodriguez and then Rhea Ripley. Ripley got her revenge on RAW as she returned after 21 days to put Jax in place. But as Jax returned to the WWE after so long, an Ex-WWE star spilled the beans on why Vince McMahon took her back.

René Duprée who was known in the WWE as a French wrestler and part of the tag team La Résistance expressed why he thinks Jax was taken back in the WWE. On his livestream Cafe De Rene he said, “She is back, but you know why she is back? Ok, Jason, I’m the Rock, you are Vince McMahon. Hey Vince!”

Then he went on to enact a phone call with Vince McMahon and him being Dwayne Johnson. He ended that skit by saying, “Well I like you, but I have a favor, my cousin Nia needs a job”. Clearly implying that Johnson asked McMahon to take Jax back in the WWE and he obliged. This could be in return for The Rock’s dramatic return to SmackDown a couple of weeks ago.

But what was the real reason for Nia Jax getting laid off from the WWE in 2021?

Nia Jax was released from the WWE as she was not ready to get vaccinated

Nia Jax had quite a good run during her six years with the WWE. During her time with the company, she won the WWE Women’s Championship once and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship twice with Shayna Baszler.

In spite of such success, she was released from the WWE in 2021. Initially, fans thought the reason was budget cuts but it actually wasn’t. The real reason was that she did not want to get vaccinated. On her recent appearance on The Sessions podcast, she revealed that even Vince McMahon himself tried to coax her to take the vaccine, but she stood her ground.
