New Superhero in WWE! Nikki Cross Unveils Exciting New Gimmick on Raw

WWE’s Twisted Sisters, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross teamed up to take on Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on WWE Raw. Although Bliss picked up a huge win, Nikki Cross had a huge day as well. Cross debuted a new superhero gimmick on Raw.

Nikki Cross becomes a superhero on Raw

Superhero gimmicks aren’t popular in WWE, with some of them crashing and burning quickly. The most memorable superhero gimmick was The Hurricane, but Shane Helms was nothing more than a comedy wrestler. With Nikki Cross, WWE potentially hit the goldmine of the superhero gimmick genre.

Her husband, Killian Dain, praised Nikki for taking an idea and making it a reality. The NXT superstar even shared an image of the first concept art of the gimmick. Rob Downie, an artist, helped design the costume and revealed Nikki pitched the idea to WWE a few months ago.

It’s rare that WWE accepts wrestlers’ ideas, especially since they have so much faith in their creative team. It is shocking that creative accepted Cross’ idea, but she has been excellent lately. With wins over Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and now qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match has made her a highlight of Raw.

WWE legend The Hurricane also had a hilarious reaction to Cross’ gimmick. He labeled her the ‘HERicane’. So far, a decent reaction to Cross’ gimmick and she’s already a favorite to win the MITB briefcase.

Cross and Bliss qualify for Money in the Bank ladder match

On WWE Raw, Nikki Cross teamed up with her former best friend and tag team partner Alexa Bliss against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. In a battle between former Women’s Tag Team Champions, Bliss and Cross took the fight to Jax and Baszler and picked up a huge win.

Alexa’s hypnotic/possessive powers became the focal point of this match, as she possessed Reginald for the second time in three weeks. He almost got him to attack Nia, but he snapped out of the trance at the last minute. However, Cross took both of them out with a diving dropkick to the outside.

She recovered and got back in the ring and out-wrestled former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, pinning her after a magistral cradle to qualify for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
