Ever since he was fired from AEW, several fans have wished for him to show up at Survivor Series ’23 since the PLE will be hosted in his hometown of Chicago. Despite the several hints and speculations, reports have increasingly been coming in suggesting that the exact opposite might be true.

Reports suggest not to expect much from CM Punk’s WWE return

The Stamford-based company is already doing well from an economic perspective. They are still breaking attendance records at their PLEs and viewership records during weekly shows. So, there were previous reports about the possibility that Punk may not appear in WWE at all. Now, the possibilities have further diminished.

Reports from Fightful Select revealed that the top talents from WWE were told that Punk wouldn’t be returning during the PLE in Chicago when they asked about it. Since the ‘talent’ mentioned is at a level where the management wouldn’t lie to them, it’s possible that these reports might be true.

However, with merely a few hours left on the clock, let’s wait and see for ourselves whether all the teases were mere rumors or could actually turn out to be true.
