Apart from the matches, one of the major attractions of the 2021 WWE Survivor Series PPV was Vince McMahon and an egg. Well, it was no ordinary egg. Vince McMahon claimed it to be “Cleopatra’s Golden Egg” which featured in The Rock’s new Netflix film, Red Notice.

Interestingly, WWE created a storyline on it after the egg was stolen in the middle of the show. Wondering why would WWE create such a weird storyline at a PPV? Every action in WWE always has a reason behind it. And the actual reason behind this weird storyline was WWE’s paid partnership with Netflix to promote The Rock’s new movie, Red Notice.

Who stole the egg at the 2021 WWE Survivor Series PPV?

The storyline got dragged to this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw after Vince McMahon and the WWE officials failed to find the culprit. The episode started on a high after Mr. McMahon announced that whoever brings the egg to him will be awarded a title match against Big E at the main event.

However, the ending to this storyline was a disappointing one. Austin Theory was revealed as the person who stole the egg. Theory brought the egg to Vince McMahon and admitted his mistake. Austin Theory revealed he wanted to take a selfie with the egg, but the security scared him.

Soon after this, Vince McMahon asked Theory to show him the selfie and claimed Theory reminded him of himself. Surprisingly, Vince McMahon then actually rewarded Austin with a title shot against Big E at the main event.

Even though Theory lost to Big E, it seems WWE is trying to give Theory a major push. Austin Theory became a part of the Raw roster after the 2021 WWE Draft. Also, last week on Raw, we saw Theory replacing Rey Mysterio on Team Raw for the Men’s 5 on 5 Traditional Tag Team match at the Survivor Series PPV.
