The latest update from Wall Street Journal suggests the former WWE chairperson paid $12 Million in hush money to four women. Following this allegation, McMahon decided to step down from his role as chairperson and CEO of WWE.

Netflix’s Vince McMahon biopic is shutting down after allegations surfaced

Back in October 2020, Netflix announced a movie concerning Vince McMahon’s life and career in WWE. Since being announced, there have been no updates from Netflix about the movie. But a famous wrestling reporter, Denise Salcedo, has come out with the news that the movie will not be seeing a release date at all.

From her sources, the movie had been deep in post-production, but Netflix canceled the movie recently. One of the reasons for this decision could be the allegations that have surfaced. The sources say that they canceled the production after a lot of money was spent.

Many fans pointed out that the successful show, The Dark Side of the Ring, could portray McMahon’s career more appropriately. Earlier this year, Chris Hemsworth, the actor playing Hulk Hogan in the WWE legend’s biopic, reported the movie is being pushed back. This is another WWE movie that Netflix announced.
