Las Vegas Aces’ win over Connecticut Sun was historic in more ways than one. They not only won their first WNBA championship, but it also became the first professional sports team from Las Vegas to win a major championship.
This championship win was also the first for one of the original WNBA’s eight franchises. The team began Utah Starzz in 1997 and then moved to San Antonio in 2003. After spending 14 years in San Antonio, they finally settled in Las Vegas before the 2018 season.

Why does WWE send customized belts to sports teams?
WWE’s tradition of sending custom-made championship belts to sports teams or athletes who win a championship began in 2013. David Ortiz of the Red Sox was the first recipient of the custom belt after his side won the World Series.
Since then, teams from NBA, NFL, and MLB have received such special titles from WWE. Belts were also given to the World Cup-winning US women’s soccer team.
