Before becoming the highest-paid actor in all of Hollywood, The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, has come a long way. After his NFL plans didn’t work out the way he wanted, he went to the WWE, where his wrestling prowess and exceptional mic skills made him one of the most beloved superstars ever. After leaving his mark there, Johnson switched his career path toward acting.
Moreover, Johnson is known for his large brawny physique, which makes it impossible to imagine him as a tiny man. But once, he looked surprisingly tiny standing next to two NBA greats, and DJ hilariously opened up about its real reason.

In 2021, Johnson and Emily Blunt worked together in Disney’s Jungle Cruise film. During the film’s promotions, Johnson met with guest host Anthony Anderson of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
At the show, Anderson praised Johnson for his physique and how big he looked. However, he soon pulled out a picture of Johnson with Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. The picture showed the trio standing together, with Johnson in the middle, looking very tiny between them!
Johnson saw the picture and replied, “Listen, again, that’s the thing about basketball right? You know this Andy cause you are a fan. But it’s like you see these dudes who are like weekend warriors and like, ‘Oh! I can ball at the NBA’. When you get around real NBA Players, you recognize and you realize quickly just big these guys are and how impressive these guys are.”
However, he justified him looking small compared to the NBA legends. “First of all, I didn’t have any shoes on, so that’s why I look so small. That’s the problem.” Hearing The Rock’s response, the whole room burst out laughing.
