There is no shadow of a doubt that WWE has a global influence. It is currently watched in every corner of the world. Due to its impact, two of the best-known people, John Cena and Dwayne Johnson, were able to launch their Hollywood careers. Interestingly, one of WWE’s best-known managers, Paul Heyman, once said in public that the company’s impact is much greater than that of the majority of American sports. Not only that, but he also belittled NBA legend, LeBron James.

King James’ career serves as a testament to both his legacy and his influence on sports. LeBron is undoubtedly one of the few that encouraged many people to take up basketball as their sport. However, Heyman, who is notorious for his controversial opinions, belittled James and claimed that his popularity is limited in front of WWE earlier this year.
How Paul Heyman belittled LeBron James?
Heyman spoke with Kaz earlier this year on the podcast The Masked Man Show with Kaz, during which he discussed a variety of WWE-related topics. A conversation discussing Saudi Arabian fans made him realize how well-liked the WWE is all across the world. He then went ahead and spoke of its effect when he mocked James.

In his words, “The strength of global distribution of this brand is mind-boggling. It would be like, Oh my God, it’s LeBron James. The biggest sports stars in America can go elsewhere and not really get that much bothered.”

He added, “Umm, UFC has great distribution, but even with UFC, there are places where UFC’s top star can go and get bothered. That doesn’t exist with WWE superstars. They work everywhere, we are everywhere.”

Not only does he believe the WWE has a greater impact than LeBron, but he also believes that the WWE could very well outperform the UFC in terms of impact. He is convinced that WWE stars are considerably more likely than athletes from other sports to be known in the general population throughout the globe.
