‘The Big Diesel’ talked about how Rodman was too involved in himself during his playing days. The duo played together for the LA Lakers during the 1998/99 season. Moreover, Rodman was a star in the 1990s. His popularity saw him cross over to pro wrestling to team up with the legendary Hulk Hogan in WCW.

What did Shaq say about Dennis Rodman?

Dennis Rodman was a swashbuckling character in the NBA. He was as famous for his on-court exploits as he was for things he did off the court.

Shaquille O’Neal talked about Rodman on ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’ picking him as the worst teammate.

He said, “Worst teammate? Dennis Rodman. He was a great player, but he made it hard. Like when you try to corral the guys together and the people above you [are] letting this one guy do whatever he wants. So we had to be there an hour before the game. He’d come in fifteen minutes before the game eating chicken and rice. While the coaches are talking, he would jump in the shower. Cold shower. Come and give you 15-20 rebounds.”

Shaq also revealed that Rodman used to go to parties right after the game, but he got away with this behavior.

He explained, “He was different.. But you couldn’t say nothing to him, because he gave you 20 rebounds.”

Rodman sure had his own way of doing things and always made headlines one way or another.

Rodman skipped NBA practice to wrestle in WCW

Rodman joined WCW in 1997 and started teaming up with Hollywood Hogan. His WCW appearances were usually during the NBA off-season. But in 1998, after Game 3 of the finals against Utah Jazz, ‘The Worm’ skipped practice and flew to Michigan for a taping of WCW Nitro.

Hogan and Rodman defeated another NBA legend, Karl Malone, and his partner Diamond Dallas Page at Bash at the Beach pay-per-view in 1998.
