Is Natalya making the right move by considering AEW, or should she stay loyal to WWE?

After the departures of Ricochet and Dijak, the focus of WWE’s news was focused on Natalya, one of the most experienced women in the company. As it was expected that she could follow the path of her colleagues to start a new professional stage away from what has been her home for almost two decades. The fighter’s contract expired sometime this summer, and although the company has already approached her to start talks for her renewal, the truth is that there was still nothing confirmed about it.

Recently, Natalya also deleted all her references to WWE from her social media. And this led many to think that she would not sign with the company again. Also, adding fuel to the fire was her recent absence from television programming. However, it seems like the WWE veteran would remain a part of the WWE after all, as she has finally renewed her contract with the Stamford-based promotion!

There had been numerous talents and staff at AEW who pushed for the possibility of Natalya joining the company. Everyone in AEW wants the veteran to finally leave the WWE ranks to be a part of the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, PWInsider has just confirmed that Natalya will remain a part of the Stamford-based promotion instead, as she has locked in a new deal with the WWE.

Natalya has 22 years of experience in the business, 17 of them as a WWE Superstar. The daughter of Jim Neidhart and niece of WWE Hall of Famer Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, Natalya, quickly rose to prominence in the company thanks to her technical ability in the ring. The Canadian has added several titles to the company and some Guinness records, including being the wrestler with the most matches and victories in WWE history.

She was recently involved in NXT television programming, where she became the mentor to Karmen Petrovic, simultaneously initiating a rivalry with Shayna Baszler and Lola Vice. Natalya had her last match on the June 4 episode of NXT. After defeating Izzi Dame, Natalya went to the camera to express her desire to change things.

What seemed to be a reference to a possible change at a creative level could mean another of much greater magnitude. So maybe the WWE would push her for a title shot? Well, that should be the case, as even Jordynne Grace believes that Natalya should get more credit than she receives.

Back when Jordynne Grace praised Natalya

After Jordynne Grace made a surprise appearance on an NXT show to challenge Roxanne Perez for her Women’s Championship at Battleground, the Knockouts World Champion has been constantly talking about WWE and the possibilities that can be explored in a partnership with TNA. And during one such instance, she talked about the WWE veteran Natalya, whom she praised for everything she has done for wrestling. In a conversation with McKenzie Mitchell on Threads, Jordynne Grace acknowledged that Natalya has much less credit than she deserves and that she should be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

She said, “People I used to look up to when I was younger, and still do, Natalya. Incredible, strong woman. Like, she does not get the credit that she deserves honestly. She’s one of those people that is going to retire and then get her flowers, when she needs her flowers now. I do not understand why people aren’t giving them to her right this second.” She further added, “Not to, like, you know, put anyone else down, but she’s done more stuff than some of the other Hall of Famers has and she’s still wrestling. Like, she still has more left in the tank.”

Well, not that Natalya has finally renewed her contract with the promotion, hopefully, the WWE will finally give her the push she deserves. What do you think? Did Natalya make the right decision? Let us know in the comments.
