Following a 20-month hiatus from WWE programming, former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi made an emotional comeback to the company during the 2024 Royal Rumble last week. Tonight in Birmingham, Alabama, she made her highly anticipated realliance with the Stamford-based company and signed a contract with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton followed suit.

After Logan Paul was done with his boastful promo, Kevin Owens was seen celebrating his victory over Austin Theory after a stiff fight, following which WWE aired the phenomenal video of Naomi returning home. The former TNA act was then shown walking out of the office of Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis with a Smackdown contract in hand that she had just signed. Tiffany Stratton also walked out of the room flaunting her own Smackdown contract.

We need to see what the blue brand holds for the two women powerhouses down the line.

We can already smell a promising future for Sasha Banks in the main roster as she has already been aiming high.

Naomi strives for more in her second WWE run

Naomi aka Trinity Fatu, one of the WWE’s massive stars and women’s tag-team champions walked out of the company on May 16, 2022, alongside tag teammate Sasha Banks, amidst a creative clash with Vince McMahon. While Banks settled herself into her dream promotion, NPJW pretty quickly, Naomi had to bear a lot of sticky patches before joining forces with Impact Wrestling.

However, her stint outside of WWE proved to be a short call as the former TNA Knockouts World Champion stunned the thick crowd of the Tropicana Field last week, making a style entry to the WWE ring after two years of absence. Fatu not only made her return, but it seems she is already eying the big prize ( more gold).

During a recent appearance in The Bump, Fatu made her WWE goal clear. Naomi knows her worth well and she isn’t anywhere close to stopping her pursuit to achieve greater heights in the business.

”My goal is to be a Grand Slam Champion, and that’s what my focus is. In order to get there, that’s gonna take a lot of work, but that’s the mission that I’m on.” the two-time WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion noted.
