The wrestling world has awaited with bated breath for Uncle Howdy‘s return ever since the teasers started via QR codes. Fans would discuss the images or videos linked to these codes and try to decipher a meaning. Now that the mysterious entity has finally made a blockbuster entry to the promotion, fans have still not left their detective lens behind.

The last segment that Uncle Howdy delivered has left fans theorizing multiple things about what his character stands for. The segment that we are referring to here is the conversation that Bo Dallas had with Uncle Howdy sitting across from him in a chair.

Nikki Cross‘ character appeared on the Red Brand show on 24th June and left a package on the announcer’s table. Michael Cole quickly handed it over to the production crew. When the VHS tape finally played for the audience, we witnessed a cinematic conversation between Bo Dallas and Uncle Howdy. This was an unexpected moment as Bray Wyatt’s real-life brother was supposed to play Uncle Howdy. However, this wasn’t the only odd thing in the segment that fans noticed and started hypothesizing about.

The online wrestling faithful has a theory for Uncle Howdy’s voice

When the Wyatt 6 debuted, Uncle Howdy was the only member of the team who spoke. He delivered a two-word message, “We’re here,” before the show ended. His human voice didn’t fit the setting of the segment and even earned criticism from a WWE veteran. The following week, WWE altered Howdy’s voice and made it sound creepier. There seemed to be more than one voice whenever the Wyatt 6 leader spoke.

This fan theorized that maybe the mixed voices are supposed to be a culmination of the six members of the stable, including Alexa Bliss, who is rumored to join them soon. The logic behind it is rooted in the journal entry, part of the pre-debut tease that read “I am all of us.” This is staunchly opposed to what other fans are pointing towards.

This is another theory that fans have brought about. It would make sense, as this storyline was taking a major psychological angle to Bo Dallas’ experience after losing his brother. There was also a therapist involved who mysteriously went missing. So, the female voice could be her voice coinciding with Uncle Howdy’s as Dallas may be hallucinating about that particular incident.

Another fan offers a similar perspective. However, they don’t necessarily go the same route as the one before. Instead of blaming the video on ‘hallucination’, this comment mentioned that the video is from Bo Dallas’ ‘perspective’. So, he wasn’t necessarily creating another reality to cope with the stress, but this is how he sees the world.

Even though this fan heard a higher pitch in the promo, they didn’t think much of it. This may have been the case for many fans. Despite wondering about it for a bit, not everyone would have tried to go deep into the possible lore. Moreover, there could be a similar segment for all the characters that are in the stable.

At last, we have an internet user who thinks that the voice resembles Bray Wyatt’s. Since the storyline focuses on how Bo Dallas is being haunted by the memory and legacy of his brother, it would make sense if that’s the case. But it would be difficult for the Stamford-based company to replicate the late wrestler’s voice.
