The Rock congratulates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris

The Rock started off with three congratulations. First, to Joe Biden on becoming the new President-elect. Biden stood opposite current President Donald Trump, who by the way, is a WWE Hall of Famer!

Second, to Kamala Harris on becoming the Vice President-elect. Harris becomes the first woman Vice President and the only woman of colour to become Vice President-elect.

The third congratulations went out to the people of USA and the country itself. The 2020 US election had the largest voter turnout of all time. The Rock was incredibly grateful to all the Americans who voted, irrespective of the party. He claimed he had never seen the entire country so engaged on a common ground.

The Rock showed his support for the Democratic candidates

The Rock shot the video from his gymnasium, and wanted to shoot it the day before, but ‘cried manly tears’ after hearing about Biden’s victory. His tears were because of what his vote represented. According to Rock, his vote represented his closest family members and the values that America is built on.

He received a lot of heat for declaring his support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. ‘The hate and insults that came my way made me stand stronger and higher.

“My vote represented my little daughters, my vote represented humanity, my vote represented the values and lessons I teach my little girls. My vote represents human decency.”
