NXT has produced several superstars that have taken over the main roster. With a rising crop of superstars getting honed under the tutelage of Shawn Michaels, the possibilities and growth are endless. However, fans in particular have an eye on Ava Raine, daughter of Dwayne Johnson. But despite the contrary belief that Raine would be the next DJ, a former WWE superstar thinks completely different.

According to new updates, an ex-WWE legend and a fan favorite among WWE Universe thinks it’s his daughter who is priced to eventually become the “Female Rock”.

Santino Marella was one of the funniest and endearing superstars in WWE. Despite never maineventing or being part of big storylines, he constantly entertained the WWE universe. From pinning the late Umaga to win the Intercontinental Championship on his debut on Raw, to Kane eliminating him in 1 second at the Royal Rumble match, Marella created several iconic moments.

While the 49-year-old never headlined major events, he has high hopes for his daughter, who’s also a wrestler working at NXT. His daughter Arianna Grace made her debut in 2022, becoming one of the most promising superstars on the roster. Now, according to Marella, he feels Grace has the potential to be the “female Rock.”

During the Refin’ It Up podcast the current Impact wrestler initially said he’d be excited to see his daughter participate at WrestleMania. He then said, “I’m pretty sure that my lens is objective. It’s not just because she’s my daughter. She’s good, she’s very good, and she was really growing in popularity.”

Being mighty impressed by her, he continued by saying: I’m talking about top-five girls, breaking off into movies later. Our goal is that she’s a female Rock. We’re not just looking to participate. She has the potential to be a female Rock.”

While Marella echoed some powerful words in the interview and though Grace definitely has the talent, she might just face tough competition from Johnson’s daughter as the rightful successor.

Tough challenge from The Rock’s blood

Just like Grace, Raine too has made a powerful impact on NXT. After making her debut last year in October, Raine has been a part of the group Schism.

Within months, she struck a tremendous blow as she pinned Ivy Nile in her debut in a tag team match. However, she received a mediocre response for her singles match against Ivy Nile, getting defeated convincingly.

But despite her lackluster performance, there is still a long way to go as she is under the tutelage of Shawn Michaels and others. On top of that, being a fourth-generation superstar, she certainly has the adaptability, and the charm exuded by Johnson, to learn from her mistakes and grow further.

Even though Raine and the second-generation superstar, Grace haven’t squared off against each other, it’s still interesting to see who moves to the main roster first.
