Popular YouTuber-turned-wrestler Logan Paul‘s shining entertainment career was left in serious jeopardy when he found himself subdued in an intense controversy, filming a dead body of a suicide victim in Japan. His YouTube channel was removed from YouTube’s Goggle preferred program and it caused him a loss worth $5 million.

The YouTube sensation himself admitted his guilt on various platforms afterward. But along with his image distortion, his mistake brought him another misfortune in the form of a crack in his relationship with many industry friends and colleagues. But among those, what Paul regrets the most is the heat that came from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Logan Paul made a name for himself in the entertainment industry over the past years, but his empire fell at stake because of his misguided actions. In January 2018, Paul made a video comprising a dead body hanging from a tree in Japan’s Aokighara forest. It is better known as the ‘suicide forest’, as it possessed a spine-chilling record of many suicide cases.

Logan Paul and The Rock were close to each other till the latter half of 2016. They also made several videos together, but one phone call put an end to their relationship when their common publicist asked Paul to delete all the photos and videos of them together and stated that The Rock was no more interested in making anything with him.

The 28-year-old YouTube lost many big brand deals and several fans and followers. But the Rock’s treatment hit differently. During an interview with The Pain Game, The Maverick noted, ‘This is one of the saddest moments of my life. After Japan happened, obviously I found myself in a hole rightfully said that I had never been in before. Extremely low mentally.”

He added, “I got a call from my publicist who also repped Dwayne the Rock Johnson and she’s like Hey Dwayne has asked that you remove every picture and video that you’ve done with him and maybe in the future the relationship can be reconciled but for now he basically wants nothing to do with you. ‘

He is, however, well aware of his mistake and thinks DJ did nothing wrong to treat him like this.

Later, The Rock’s resentment seemed to be lighter as he sent an Instagram text to Paul like nothing ever happened.

Paul noted in the same interview that he desperately hoped for a single call or message from his idol, who he unintentionally offended.

He explained, ‘I understood it and that was the other part. But I wish I would have gotten a call or text or something because like I thought we had a like a healthy relationship and an open line of communication and I was so sad that my hero wanted nothing to do with me.’

His wish came true much later when Johnson chose to praise Paul for another video he created through a small Instagram DM. But Paul didn’t reply to that. It most possibly came as a reaction to deep emotional damage.

While the current WWE sensation chose to be silent to The Rock’s apparent consolation message, he still didn’t throw him out of the helm of his heart. To Paul, The Rock is still the best, and he loves him a lot.

As they say, never say never, we hope to see these two together again in some videos and photos in the future.
