WWE has given us spectacular storylines in the last year. With superstars contributing from all ends, the product has delivered on expectations time and time again. However, despite having every piece of the puzzle in place, it still seems incomplete. The entire WWE Universe has been waiting for one superstar to make his return, and that is Randy Orton.

Unfortunately, with the latest updates on The Viper, it seems like the fans will have to wait for a lot longer to see their favorite superstar.

Arguably the greatest wrestler of his generation, Orton is the pinnacle of what every superstar builds to aspire to. Be it in-ring psychology or physical build-up, Randy has always shined the brightest.

With months of buildup, fans are finally hoping to see Orton on the big stage at SummerSlam, however, in a disappointing update, that doesn’t seem likely. According to reports by Wrestle Features, WWE hasn’t cleared Orton for an in-ring return anytime soon, thus jeopardizing his return for SummerSlam.

This is really sad news for the fans. The Apex Predator was easily the most over superstar for the past few years. Fans couldn’t get enough of his RKBro run with Riddle, and Orton received thunderous ovations from every arena he went to.

But in a good update, fans can expect to see him back this year, but just not this weekend. Nonetheless, fans have reacted heavily to the update.

“Already expected but it’s still making me sad” Fans express their worry

The 44-year-old has been away since 2022 after having sustained a back injury. It’s been over a year and fans are once again waiting for the legendary superstar to RKO everyone on the roster once he’s back.

Most of the fans expressed their disappointment.

Some are still hoping for the 14-time world champion to return and show up at SummerSlam.

The emotional sentiments continued from fans.

While Randy is so established that he doesn’t need to wrestle anymore, fans are still dying to catch a glimpse of the viper at the earliest. With successful back fusion surgery, a glimmer of hope is noticeable among fans. However, if it is a swerve and Orton shows up at SummerSlam, the ovation could be perhaps one of the biggest in WWE history.
