The news of the return of the People’s Champ has already sent a wave of happiness among fans. However, there’s a lot more in store for them. According to the news, Cena will not just return for a couple of shows. In fact, he will be back for a lot longer than expected.
John Cena clears his calendar for WWE
John Cena has not been able to fully devote his time to WWE for a long time now. In fact, since his transition to Hollywood, Cena has been less than a part-timer for WWE. However, things are finally going to change for the Cenation as the 16x WWE Champion will get some major matches.

According to the PW Insider, while Cena was initially brought just for SmackDown this week and Superstar Spectacle in India next week, he may also feature in a couple Premium Live Event. Interestingly, John Cena has cleared his calendar off everything else for the next two months to prioritize WWE.
Moreover, the report also indicates the PLEs where we could see Cena appear and possibly compete and one of them could be very soon.
Will Cena feature at Payback?
While no concrete lines have been drawn yet, there’s a significant chance that John Cena will feature in PLEs. He will begin his homecoming campaign with SmackDown and even visit India for the Superstar Spectacle.
While many thought that was all they were going to get from Cena during this run, his run may extend beyond that.

According to the PW Insider report, “Within WWE, there’s been talk of John Cena appearing at both Payback this weekend and Fastlane in October.” It will be a treat for fans of Cena if he shows up at Payback, although with the PLE two days away nothing is announced for Cena yet. But with the go-home edition of SmackDown featuring Cena, fans can expect a last-minute edition of the 16-time champion to the card.
