Drew McIntyre was the face of WWE throughout the pandemic era. His good fortune in WWE started when he won the WWE Royal Rumble in 2020. The same year he also won the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36. However, after his loss at Clash at the Castle last year, WWE relegated him to the upper mid-card roster. Following that, fans have not seen much from him. Plus, rumors are also floating around that he might soon leave WWE after his contract expires.

A big update from the WWE world might solidify these rumors about him saying goodbye to the company.

A major update regarding the Scottish Warrior has made its way to the wrestling world. It states that the sports entertainment giant has officially removed him from the advertisement for this year’s Money in the Bank PLE. The event is scheduled to be held in the O2 arena in London on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

This move from WWE doesn’t specifically point out whether he will appear at the premium live event in London this year. The PLE advertisement on WWE.com originally consisted of Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, and McIntyre himself.

But now, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley have replaced him and The Queen in the ‘featured superstars’ advertisement. But why can this be a concerning matter and not a simple temporary change?

The Scottish Warrior is having issues with WWE

For those who don’t know, McIntyre is having some differences with the Stamford-based company for the past few months. A report from PWInsider VIP stated that he and WWE are not getting on the same page in terms of creative and money.

Plus, his contract with the company will end in the early months of 2024. And WWE is not ready to meet up with him on his offer. This might lead to him choosing to cut ties with WWE. Plus, the rumor mill has also churned out an interesting piece of news that suggests that he may join hands with AEW after leaving the company.
