While speaking to the hosts Mikey Cash and Mike Riley, Lynch started by describing her love and association with WWE. She said, “Growing up, WWE is what I watched. It’s what I loved, it’s the reason I became a professional wrestler. And then now, having been in it, I love it.”
Emphasizing her attachment to WWE, she mentioned the prospect of retirement. Lynch said, “It’s my home. It’s where I was kind of born as a professional wrestler in many ways in terms of my influence, and it’s where I’ll retire.”
Becky Lynch has been with WWE since 2013 when she joined NXT and became one of the four horsewomen to drive the Women’s Revolution. The momentum changed the division and led to the WM 2019 Main Event, Women’s Royal Rumble, and an All-Women PLE.
She feels proud of her involvement and says, “I love the people, I love the audience, and I love being able to being an important part of change.” The 35-year-old superstar continues, “I feel we’ve been able to change the landscape of women’s wrestling forever. That feels very special to me.”
Hence, it’s obvious that she feels an attachment to the company. In fact, WWE has helped elevate her status as a wrestler. However, the news of her retirement plans hangs between her husband’s retirement plans and her current contract.
