All WWE legends have worked hard to stand in the spot they are currently in. These wrestlers went through ups and downs to finally sit at the place they deserve. Rey Mysterio is one of those WWE legends who paved his own way through the promotion. The Hall of Famer did not have much help during his struggling days in WWE. Ever since his son, Dominik Mysterio, was introduced to the company, fans did not appreciate the way he entered.
The young Mysterio did not have any checkpoints to capture when he entered the promotion. Unlike most other wrestlers, he skipped WWE’s developmental brand, NXT. WWE uses this brand to develop and train wrestlers before they can make their way to the main roster on Raw or SmackDown. However, fans believe that Dominik skipped this step because of his father’s connection with WWE.

A post on Twitter aimed at stating a unique fact regarding Dominik Mysterio. The post read, “Dominik Mysterio is one of the few stars to completely skip NXT and land into the main roster.” Apparently, this is something that a lot of fans have already paid attention to. Some fans criticize Dominik for skipping to the main roster using the influence of his father. Others point out that the young wrestler should not have skipped the developmental brand as it would have helped him perform better.
This has to be satire lol. He only was able to skip NXT because of his father

And it showed lol. He was more green than The Rock was when he first started. They had to put a lot around Dom to help get him going. The efforts paid off but he got a luxury that many others wrestlers would not get. Especially first generation wrestlers.

Some fans issued a warning suggesting that the young Mysterio might fade away after the conclusion of his feud with his father.
And as such a large percentage of fans fast forward when he's on screen.
Once the angle with his Dad is done, watch him flop.

Hes always been carried by rey, first with him and now feuding with him, the gaps in his skills will likely show when rey is completely out of the picture, he has had no solo development whatsoever which i think he will need at some point and would benefit from a solo nxt run

Some WWE fans believe that the wrestler shouldn’t have skipped the developmental part of his career.
The storyline that is going on between Rey and Dominik Mysterio seems to be doing well. However, fans believe that Rey alone is carrying Dominik through the company. Once the storyline has concluded or when Rey retires, fans might not appreciate Dominik’s presence in the main roster. Things could also turn around for Dominik because WWE is not alien to the concept of ‘nepotism’.

In fact, the foundation of the known generations of WWE was laid on the grounds of nepotism. Vincent J. McMahon started WWE’s idea and later handled it to his son, Vince McMahon. Vincent could have looked for an alternative but saw it fit to pass the torch to his son. To date, people appreciate Vince for not misusing the position his father gave him and making the best out of it.
