Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman had many memorable moments during his tenure with the company. But one of his most talked about moments came during the Triple Threat match for the Universal title involving Brock Lesnar and Kane.

During the match Brock Lesnar punched Strowman for real and now the ‘Monster Among Men’ has revealed what happened afterwards.

Strowman had quite a few run-ins with the former UFC Champion during his WWE tenure. The two behemoths were involved in many hard-hitting contests.

At the 2018 Royal Rumble event, the two were in the same ring again, with Lesnar defending his Universal title. 

During the match, Strowman hit Lesnar hard with a knee. The champion came back with a sharp blow to the side of Strowman’s head.

Strowman said that he always went to the ring with Lesnar with the mentality of a real fight, saying he enjoys the physical aspect of the contest.

 The former Wyatt family member revealed what happened after he got punched for real. 

“We laughed about it afterwards,” Strowman started. “It is what it is. We got to the back, and I said ‘Hey, my bad,’ he said the same thing and we went about our business, he said in an interview to Talksport.

“Working with Brock, I go in with the mentality that it’s a real fight. You have to. I remember Royal Rumble a couple of years ago, I got a little ant in my pants, so did he and we threw some heavy hitters at each other and carried on from there.

“Let’s face it, Brock’s one of the baddest human beings on the planet and I enjoy it. I like the physical aspect of it.

‘The Conqueror’ would go on to retain the title in the match after hitting Kane with an F-5. However, Strowman had his crowning moment when he defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 36 to capture the WWE Universal Championship.

Despite being popular among fans, the ‘Greatest Royal Rumble’ winner was released by WWE in June 2021.

Brock Lesnar lauded by ex-WWE wrestlers

Although he can be hard-hitting and a real physical menace in the ring, the former UFC Champion is seen as a thorough professional by his peers.

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart recently lauded ‘The Beast’ for his great psychology and understanding of the business. While his former in-ring rival Kurt Angle also said that the former 7-time WWE champion is one of the best technical wrestlers in the business.
