Everything is well if it ends well. The quotation perfectly fits the AEW World Champion MJF tonight. Despite being subject to a lot of undesired occurrences, The Devil came out victorious, leaving the arena with the title intact around his waist.

After a lot of back and forth, the marquee main event between MJF and Jay White took place at the AEW Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view event from Los Angeles, California at the Kia Forum. And it went in the favor of the Salt in the Earth. But we barely saw it coming.

MJF had to be taken to the hospital, receiving a huge bump in his knee from The Gunns following the ROH Tag Team Title match on the pre-show. It led Khan to alter his title match with Jay White for the main event. Initially, Adam Cole would have stepped in as a replacement to defend the title for his friend.

After the match started, MJF made a stellar surprise entry straight from the hospital and put on a breathtaking fight alongside Cole. Finally, the top AEW heel ended up retaining his title, taking the crowd to a storm.

With this blockbuster finish to the match, Tony Khan marked himself safe from fans’ wild outrage.

Fans’ attacking comments on Tony Khan came out hollow

After the Zero hour match has gone against the current World Champion, Khan has almost written him off the main event card, bringing Adam Cole forward. The segment was panned out in such a way that it showed MJF soaring like a wounded tiger before leaving the arena with his knee bruises and asking Adam Cole to safeguard his title from Bill Gunn’s sons.

Later, AEW announced that Cole would defend the title on behalf of The Devil at the main event. Some fans couldn’t even assume the twist and they burst out on Twitter, questioning TRony Khan’s eerie booking. They completely disapproved of the last-minute write-up and were left disheartened totally.

That said, some seasoned fans might get some idea of what’s coming. They almost got Khan’s trick and hence decided to hold their horses before jumping on the blame game.
