Though Evelyn has retired since 2011, he still looks fit and still has a lot of star value, something which Fox can use. With stars like Tyson Fury and Cain Velasquez being brought in to WWE for Saudi Arabia shows and to boost SmackDown ratings,Evelyn could be the next man in the list . The heavyweight has increased the probability of at least coming to WWE Backstage, as he tweeted,”I told you I had something for you”.He might pull a CM Punk and just show up to boost the Television ratings of the Dwindling Backstage show.
Possible Reasons Evander Holyfield made the video
A few days ago ,another Boxing legend Mike Tyson took to Instagram to post a workout video to show that he still got it :

It seems like Evelyn made the video as a response. This prompted talks for another fight between the two,to complete the trilogy. Although it has no substance this might just be an internet banter. Another speculation is that these two are just using quarantine to get back to shape. Whatever the case might be this Evelyn video did bring a smile to the faces of boxing stans.

WWE has not commented on the situation. There could be many reasons for this.WWE might still be negotiating a contract with him as these big-money deals do take time. Another reason could be Corona-Virus.WWE might want to hide it and save him until they can get live audience back. Vince and the company also released a lot of talent like Rusev and Cain Velasquez to save money. By this logic signing Evelyn does not seem to make sense.
Whatever the case might be the next few weeks will be interesting and at least it provides a little incentive to see WWE Backstage on Fox .
