Vince McMahon was the captain of the ship named WWE for over four decades. Under his leadership, the company saw many significant changes that made unforgettable segments in the fans’ minds.
However, it came as a surprise for the entire wrestling universe when Mr. McMahon announced his retirement in July of this year. He had stepped down from his duties for a while following an investigation on allegations of paying hush money to former employees. But nobody thought he would have to retire.

On the recent episode of Mailbag with Mike Chioda, the former WWE referee talked about the retirement of Vince McMahon. Chioda, whom Mr.McMahon released after 35 years spent in WWE, says the former WWE chairperson deserves a proper farewell.
Chioda said, “I guess all the allegations came, he just had to fade away. It’s just sad it had to end like this, but I’m sure he’ll come back, he’ll get the right (farewell). Hopefully, in another year or so or maybe next year. Maybe at WrestleMania.”
He added, “Give it a little bit of time, and then hopefully he gets the right send-off he deserves for running a major company and employing people like myself for 35 years and stuff like that.”
Further, Chioda credited Vinnie-Mac for making a work environment where he was able to stay for over three decades. Also, the longest-tenured WWE referee stated he would love to go back to the company for one more run.

Adding to this, Chioda said, “Definitely no heat with Vince McMahon with me getting released. It’s just my time was up and that’s it.”
Mr. McMahon announced his retirement in July 2022, following an investigation by The Wall Street Journal. The journal stated McMahon paid hush money to certain female WWE employees to hide their relationship.
