WWE legend Mickie James is once again making all the headlines in the professional wrestling world. Just days into 2022, and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is throwing one surprise after the other at their fans.

Recently, WWE shocked the WWE Universe by releasing Samoa Joe and William Regal from the company.

Though that might not have been a pleasant surprise, the announcement on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown involving Mickie James got praised by many, including Mickie James’ husband Nick Aldis.

WWE finally opened the Forbidden Door by including Mickie James at WWE Royal Rumble 2022.

Mickie James is currently signed to NWA and Impact Wrestling. She is also the Impact Knockouts Champion. However, she is going to compete at the Women’s Royal Rumble Match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2022 PPV.

Nick Aldis took to Twitter and praised WWE, Impact Wrestling, and NWA for this decision. In his tweet, Nick also mentioned he is once again proud of Mickie James.

This genuinely looks great and could also possibly pave the pathway for more wrestlers to perform in WWE as the Forbidden Door is open.

The Forbidden Door is a term that refers to different wrestling promotions working together and sharing talents across the promotions.

Mickie James won’t be the only WWE legend that will return to action in WWE at the WWE Royal Rumble 2022 PPV. Kelly Kelly, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Lita, and Michelle McCool will also take part in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

Will Mickie James be victorious in her fourth Royal Rumble Match?

Among all the other WWE legends returning at the PPV, Mickie will have a slight advantage because she is still competing inside the squared circle.

In October 2021, she defeated Deonna Purrazzo at Bound for Glory PPV to become the Impact Knockouts Champion for the fourth time.

Ever since the Women’s Royal Rumble match got introduced, James has taken part in three of them. In 2018, her long-time rival, Trish Stratus, eliminated her. In 2019, the WWE legend put on a brave fight before Tamina eliminated her.

And in the most recent Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2021, Lacey Evans eliminated Mickie. But Mickie James got plenty of experience after having wrestled inside the squared circle for over 2 decades.
