Hulk Hogan is not just a name in professional wrestling, he personifies an entire era for many WWE fans. The Hulkster was the ultimate babyface pro wrestling had ever seen. Moreover, he ruled the industry during the 80s with his worldwide popularity.
However, with his popularity, he always had to meet the fans by staying in character. The Immortal One never let his fans down whenever he met them.

A few years ago, Hulk Hogan sat for an interview with a motivational speaker, James Arthur Ray. In the interview, Hogan shed a light on his popularity and recalled meeting several kids at the hospital who were recovering from serious diseases.
Hogan said, “But some of the things that came along with it which I didn’t really understand at first. This was a character, this was a job, but it attracted some many types of different people. There were ‘Make a Wish’, Dalmatians, (and) Starlight Foundation which was calling to get a hold of Hulk Hogan.”
He added, “And for several years the character Hulk Hogan was requested more than Mickey Mouse at Disney World, Michael Jackson, Mr. T and all the kids were dying and had one last wish: wanted to come talk and to see me for their last wish which was at first tough for me.”
Clearly, this gives a hint of how famous Terry Bollea, the man behind Hulk Hogan, had become. The Hulkster’s popularity had gone beyond the ropes of professional wrestling for an entire two decades.

Hulk Hogan initially had no clue about what to talk about with the kids
As a popular figure, The WWE Hall of Famer granted several wishes of kids and others. He often visited hospitals to meet the kids who were recovering from severe illnesses. Even though he knew how to spread positive vibes to the kids, Hogan had no idea how to strike a conversation at first.
The Hulkster said, “That really didn’t kick up. What really, you know, hit me was how far should I go with my testimony when I talk to these kids. Because I accepted Christ as my savior, but there was a point where I questioned what was my… I don’t know how to say it.”
He added, “What was my right to say to these kids and how do I say it in front of their parents standing there? The last thing I wanted to do was make people mad at me.” Indeed, that says a lot about his character.

After visiting the kids several times, Hogan understood what his role was. The people just expected him to share positivity and make the kids feel better. The kids were already happy that The Immortal One was there to visit them. Nevertheless, Hogan claimed he was unnecessarily worried about something he shouldn’t have had of.
