The time for speculation is over. The Rock was removed from the match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, and in his place, Cody Rhodes will face the ‘Tribal Chief’ in the main event of the ‘Show of Shows’, after the WWE press conference was held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This was a piece of news to rejoice for fans, as they had been voicing out their support for the American Nightmare. Another vocal supporter was Logan Paul. The Maverick did not shy away from showing his support to Rhodes, calling out the company’s decision. And while it may stem from his personal issues with the Rock, he left no stone unturned in his support, as he did subtly in tonight’s edition of SmackDown.

Having been the winner of the Royal Rumble, Cody Rhodes earned the right to be in the main event of WrestleMania 40, and it is for that reason that he challenged Roman Reigns to the championship match. In the press conference on Thursday, Rhodes took the opportunity to talk about Reign’s ancestry and mention that they would be ashamed of him. At this point, the story takes an unexpected turn as The Rock comes to the defense of his family and slaps Rhodes for talking about his ancestors since Reigns is his cousin. Re-living this moment, Logan Paul made his entry for tonight’s edition of SmackDown as he wore Apple’s new Vision Pro and claimed he was re-watching the slap incident on it.

He then took a jab at The Rock, saying, “I’m rewatching The Rock assault Cody Rhodes last night. Excuse me, I should restate that. A member of TKO’s board assault an employee. The press conference was crazy.” He took a shot at Johnson, who was recently made a part of TKO’s board. And with this storyline, it does not look good from the official side of things.

Backstage after the press conference, Triple H was being interviewed when The Rock told him to fix the situation because if he didn’t, he and his cousin would. So the company’s chief creative officer took to social media to make the official announcement: Cody Rhodes will face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in the main event.
