Days before WWE makes its way to Perth, Australia, a blockbuster Monday Night Raw aired underway from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. A fiery matchup between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre commenced to set the mood right for the rest of the night, as advertised earlier. That said, it didn’t go right for the American Nightmare. The Scotsman gave Rhodes a reason to recheck his momentum before heading to the big stage in April.
Cody Rhodes gets beaten down at Raw tonight
Drew Mclntyre was an indomitable force throughout the match. He kicked out of a Cody Cutter after hitting him with the Future Shock. Just right after that, Jimmy Uso made a wise interruption and distracted the ref, allowing Solo Sikoa to bury the American Nightmare with a fatal Samoan Spike!! McIntyre took the chance and secured the win through a Claymore.

But this call seemed a bit odd given Mclntyre’s past equation with The Bloodline. The Scottish star has not endured a good dynamic with the dreaded faction as they cost him a decisive win against Roman Reigns at Clash of Castle in 2022. Interestingly, Sikao made his debut as an unknown star before launching the decisive attack that gave his Tribal Chief the victory. McIntyre had also targeted Jey Uso in recent times for his past actions when he used to work for the Bloodline.

Did Drew McIntyre strike a deal with The Bloodline tonight? Explained
Although it looked like a harmonious union, it wasn’t. Drew McIntyre had a history of boiling rivalry with The Bloodline starting from Survivor Series 2020, where he locked horns with the Tribal Chief in a grudge Champion vs. Champion match. Jey Uso brought the blow for Mclntyre that night. The rivalry continued up to the scuffle during Clash at the Castle 2022. But then fans might wonder what exactly forced the Samoan troop to come to the save of McIntyre tonight. Well, it seemed nothing more than a temporary coalition for the sake of destroying a common foe, Cody Rhodes.
Also, Drew McIntyre’s current villainous gimmick perfectly aligns his interest with that of the notorious faction. And hence things didn’t turn any awkward while he ended up taking advantage of the Bloodline interference tonight. Chances are high that we might see the Scottish man return the favor to the Bloodline in their ongoing feud against The American Nightmare.
