Since Cody Rhodes announced that he would not complete his story at WrestleMania 40, fans have been unhappy. The American Nightmare worked for an entire year, becoming the most over star on the show. Finally, after winning the Royal Rumble and getting a chance to face Roman Reigns for the title and main event of WrestleMania, he gave it up to Dwayne Johnson.
While fans have been waiting for the inevitable Johnson vs Reigns match, they did not think Rhodes would have to sacrifice his spot for it.

While Rhodes gave away his spot at WrestleMania to Johnson by his own accord, fans still blame The Rock for this. With his recent seat at the TKO Holdings Group board table, fans are well aware that he can now do a lot more than before in the WWE. So, is this just WWE drama, or something else at play?
If you ask Sami Zayn, there could be more at play here. In a now-deleted post, Zayn offered up his two cents on the matter. Taking to social media, he first addressed the fact that many people had their opinions on the current wrestling drama. It was referring to the fact that everyone seemed to be up in arms about Johnson taking Rhodes’ place.

He would go on to say, “I too would weigh in, if not for the fact that there are actual tragedies in the world happening daily.” This statement seemed to take fans aback by what Zayn was actually trying to say, as there was no specification. While fans are aware of the countless tragedies taking place, this uproar of fans is nothing new in the pro wrestling world.

Ahead of deleting the post, Zayn would also say, “This is really more of a ‘me’ problem.” This line would come after he acknowledged that many people across the globe use the ‘wrestling drama’ to escape their realities.
