Some pro-wrestlers go through WWE as the top guys, and some do not quite make it to the top. However, the ones who make it to the top often try to influence Vince McMahon, and one such superstar was Hulk Hogan.
When he was working with WCW, he went inside the ring against Maxx Payne. Hogan, who didn’t quite like a thing or two about working with Payne, tried to influence The Big Man in his favor.

Payne revealed what went down during a conversation with John Poz.
“A lot of it was really untrue, just like the Knobbs thing. For him to blame me for him being a f*cking a**hole on that throw… well, Hogan bought it, so what did Hogan do? Went straight to f***ing Vince and said, ‘You better not f***ing deal with this guy.’ Vince did ignore that in the end and let me go there.”
Of course, The Big Man knew better than to get influenced by Hulk Hogan. He did not act upon what The Hulkster said and ignored it. But, eventually, Payne did leave WWE when things kept falling through. He knew that was it for him at WWE.
“I got there and one thing after another just kept falling through.”

Hulk Hogan hasn’t been around WWE for almost a year
The last time Hogan was around WWE, he was hosting WrestleMania 37 alongside Titus O’Neil. He has not come back since then.
Hogan’s health took quite a toll in the past few months. He lost a significant amount of weight and was rarely seen at his Beach Shop. But, he recovered, went to the gym, stayed well, and finally started being at Hogan’s Beach Shop frequently.

It’s unknown if the company has any plans of bringing him back to host the upcoming WrestleMania. It may not be in the books since Hogan did make headlines recently about passing comments related to Betty White and Sidney Poitier’s death.
Considering the backlash he faced from fans and others because of it, it doesn’t seem like WWE will bring him back to host The Grandest Stage of All!
