WWE Superstar Matt Riddle has been taking the business by storm. The former UFC fighter has settled nicely into his role and has excelled in the NXT. Matt recently spoke about his run-in with Brock Lesnar, and how he had managed to get The Beast Incarnate angry at him. Riddle is now slated to move up to the main roster, going up to Friday Night Smackdown.
Riddle had previously made a statement that he would want to be the one to retire Lesnar. Although it was meant strictly as a compliment, Lesnar understandably took the statement as an insult.
Riddle later clarified that he meant the statement purely as a compliment.

“Bro, you’re so good at wrestling and mixed martial arts. You are the Mecca, you are the icon of sports entertainment and MMA in some people’s eyes. If I were to beat you, let alone retire you, that would make my career. I would be the dude who dethroned Brock Lesnar! It’s not an insult, I think he’s a great guy!”
Brock Lesnar won’t work with Matt Riddle?
The feud had already taken root, and Riddle was eventually confronted by Lesnar. Riddle spoke about his interaction with Lesnar, and how it made him feel, as a performer.
“It was the Royal Rumble. He [Brock] came up to me, put his arm around me, and basically told me that we were never going to work together, so I shouldn’t even mention his name or talk about him or anything like that. Or I should not call him out on social media.”
Matt seemed unfazed by this. He seemed to understand that Brock could have his own opinion of him, and he couldn’t do anything about it.
“Yeah, I get it. You don’t want to work with me, I’ve offended you, that’s fine.”

“All I can do is try to change his mind. So I won’t tweet at him, but I still want that match.”
Riddle and Lesnar are both products of the UFC. A matchup between the two would be excellent. Both have been known to go all out in the ring at all times, so watching the two fight in the WWE would be a treat for the fans at least.
