The past couple of days for Drew McIntyre haven’t been the greatest. Following a loss to ‘The Almighty’ Bobby Lashley, now Drew McIntyre cannot challenge for the WWE Championship title. On the June 21, 2021, episode of RAW, Drew McIntyre faced Matt Riddle for the Money in the Bank qualifying match. Both wrestlers make their way into the ring and the match begins. Both Drew and Riddle go hard at each other, landing blow after blow. Riddle gets the upper hand quickly, only for ‘The Scottish Warrior‘ to counter.
The match was extremely hard fought by both men, with the eventual winner being ‘The Original Bro’.

The fans could really see how desperately both superstars wanted that spot for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Matt Riddle wanted it to win the briefcase and challenge for the title. However, it is a completely different story for McIntyre. The Money in the Bank briefcase is the only way he can now challenge for the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley.
Just in case you forget about the stipulation, let us reiterate. Drew McIntyre is no longer allowed to challenge for the WWE Championship as long as ‘The Almighty‘ is at the helm. This was the added stipulation in their Hell in a Cell match. Now that McIntyre has lost to Riddle, his only way to the title has been blocked.

Drew McIntyre has an incredible journey
‘The Scottish Warrior’s journey began on 27 January 202. At the time, he declared he will face Brock Lesnar for the Championship at WrestleMania 36. Who knew that his declaration would lead to a 510-day title quest, i.e. he has been involved in the WWE title picture for 510 days.
It’s been a wild ride. I’ve always wanted to make all of you proud, and I hoped that you would get the chance to see me live and in person as WWE Champion. Looks like that dream is on hold for awhile. Thanks for all your support. #HIAC pic.twitter.com/RQgCWkOC2c
