Since April of this year, the WWE has teased the arrival of Uncle Howdy and his new Wyatt family. What started out with videos and images turned into a game of scanning the QR code on RAW and SmackDown. While credit where credit is due, the production of the clues and hints was incredible. During this time even Matt Hardy teased his involvement in the storyline.

Matt and Jeff Hardy created the Broken Matt and Brother Nero characters on TNA, which took the wrestling world by storm. With a hint of mysticism and spooky vignettes, fans loved the characters. When they returned to the WWE in 2017, Matt did use the character of Broken Matt with Bray Wyatt.

Hardy hinted that he was involved when the QR codes peaked in popularity. Fans were excited as Hardy’s contract in AEW was coming to an end. However, he moved to TNA with his brother just a week ago ahead of WWE’s Clash at the Castle: Scotland.

As Howdy and the Wyatt Sick returned to WWE RAW and destroyed the backstage area, Matt took to social media to post, “And so it begins.” While fans did see this as another hint of his possible involvement in the storyline, many were unhappy with the overall idea. His comment section saw fans blast the former WWE Tag Team Champion with negative comments.

Currently, WWE and TNA have a deal where stars can crossover. This was first seen at NXT’s Battleground with future crossovers also set in motion. However, it seems like WWE fans don’t want Broken Matt anywhere near Uncle Howdy and the new Wyatt Family.

Fans remind Matt Hardy that he’s not part of the Uncle Howdy storyline

Fans were teased that Broken Hardy would be involved in the Uncle Howdy storyline. However, Hardy appeared back in TNA with his brother Jeff. Had Hardy waited and appeared along with Howdy, fans would have been happier.

Fans were unhappy with Hardy, who was repeatedly asked if he was involved with the Wyatt 6 or the Howdy storyline. He kept denying it before reprising his Broken Matt gimmick on TNA.

Since Matt and Jeff Hardy joined AEW, fans have begged them to return to the WWE. Fans were willing to see Broken Matt and Brother Nero in the WWE, but the Hardyz decided to make their return to TNA.

Despite them returning to TNA, WWE has a deal with the company to have stars crossover. This means that while the Hardyz have a contract with TNA, they could still appear in the WWE.
