Uncle Howdy finally made his return after long months of incognito messages and QR codes on our screens. On the last episode of Monday Night RAW, he came back, accompanied by some long-absent athletes who impersonated the characters used by Bray Wyatt in the editions of the Firefly Fun House. But not all the speculated members showed up. This sentiment especially rang true for a wrestling legend who revealed his full involvement in the formation of the new stable.

The scenes that closed the Red Show amounted to some of the most disturbing visuals the WWE has put out. Wrestlers such as Chad Gable and Braun Strowman, lay on the ground after a vicious attack. Additionally, the mysterious figures also knocked many members of the security team out. Complete with blood on the walls of the arena.

Their devastating attack surely established the faction as a menacing one. One that is most likely to become a massive cash cow for the WWE in the future. But do you know that a former WWE veteran played a major part in setting up the team? That’s what Broken Matt Hardy revealed in a recent interview. What did he say?

In the recent edition of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the elder Hardy talked about the Wyatt Sick6’s debut in the WWE. He shared the QR codes sent by Howdy, with speculation that he could become a part of the group. Unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case. However, he was still involved with the group in some capacity. He said, “I think the group was established, but there were some conversations that I took part in that. Maybe down the road, there might be something. Especially because of my history with Bray.”

In fact, many fans were annoyed that Hardy teased his involvement with Uncle Howdy’s Wyatt 6 but wasn’t actually a part of it. What made his insinuations more believable was the fact that his AEW contract was coming to an end.

Regardless, Hardy feels positive about Uncle Howdy and what is to come next. Hardy is positive that Uncle Howdy will step into a unique position. “I couldn’t imagine him not being motivated to rise to the occasion, especially considering all he’s gone through. Because him and Windham [Bray Wyatt] were extremely close. So I’m very happy for him.”

Later, he celebrated with the audience by making the “Delete” gesture and taking the belt. Hardy later clarified that he did not sign a full-time contract with the company.
