Rhea Ripley is currently the face of the women’s division on Raw. There are probably very few women on the roster who could even pose a threat to Ripley. The Eradicator is not only Dominik Mysterio’s staunchest defender, but they also share a unique on-screen connection.

But, in real life, the Women’s World Champion shares a romantic relationship with former WWE star Buddy Murphy, now known as Buddy Matthews in AEW. That said, the one-third of AEW Trios Champion took to social media to express what it took for him to finally meet his real-life “partner-in-crime”.

Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews first met in WWE in 2020. Although Ripley and Matthews were in the same company, they were not dating. Ripley fell in love with the fellow-Australian wrestler in late 2022. At the time, Matthews had signed up with AEW. The couple’s relationship became public knowledge after fans saw them together in several social media posts. Despite having separate schedules, the lovers find time to work out intensely together.

The 34-year-old AEW star shared a touching message on his Instagram Story about how it took him a lot of world travel to find his true love. Having apparently just finished a strenuous workout, Ripley lay exhausted on the ground after a strenuous workout session. Matthews wrote, “It took us to travel around the world to find each other- but found a best friend and partner in crime….& gym partner”  

While Ripley and Matthews are an item in real life, it is always entertaining to see the former’s on-screen love for her “Papi”, Dominik Mysterio. Dominik Mysterio’s chemistry with Ripley convinced the world that they were dating after he joined The Judgement Day. But everyone soon found out that Dom and Rhea are platonic partners.

Judgement Day is slated to make an appearance on NXT on Tuesday. We will have to wait to find out the reason for their NXT appearance.

Dominik Mysterio recently broke kayfabe and took to Instagram to wish his fiance a happy birthday. Fans had a field day at his post as it became a subject of hilarity. 

In case you didn’t know, Mysterio is betrothed to his high school sweetheart, Marie Juliette Virissimo. Although Dominik maintains kayfabe on social media, he made exceptions to make his fiance happy. After all, Marie is his real-life “mami”.
