WWE, more specifically the Judgment Day without ‘Mami’, hasn’t been the same anymore. Rhea Ripley has been away from her comfort zone for a while, which has left the fans disappointed. Dropping her title after a spectacular 380-day reign due to a tragic shoulder injury, Mami had to bear the wrath of Liv Morgan. But is she now coming back?
Not only did Liv Morgan deprive Rhea of the coveted title reign, but she also ended up wrapping the Eradicator’s belt around her waist, knocking down Becky Lynch twice back to back on the exaggerated night of King and Queen of the Ring and a steel cage match on Raw next day.
However, even the win couldn’t stop her revenge tour, as she continued showing affection for Dominik Mysterio on weekly TV. At this time, Mami’s shock return can add an exciting layer to the narrative, but we might not see that anytime soon.

Rhea Ripley’s current injury status revealed
Mami has been a pillar of strength to her Judgment Day peers. As a reigning champion, she kicked out anyone like clockwork who dared to come her way. However, when it came to Morgan’s master plan, she fell short. Ripley promised to return to claim her title even if it demands a “bloody bout”. Speculating on the timeline, the fans kept the SummerSlam 2024 on the spearhead only to be disappointed by the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter update.
Dave Meltzer exercised his seasoned analytical skill to note, ”Ripley is rehabbing her shoulder rather than having surgery. Right now she’s not scheduled back for SummerSlam, but we were also told if she heals up faster than expected or if the storyline changes to where they need her for an appearance, it’s still possible. If rehab can’t mend the shoulder enough, she could need surgery.”
The only hope lingers is the mention of a special storyline demand that can bring back Ripley at least for a one-off appearance, as per Meltzer. Moving ahead, the former WWE tag team champion, Bulley Ray, pitched a unique storyline on Rhea Ripley’s imminent return.

Bulley Ray teased a twist in Liv Morgan-Dominic Mysterio’s storyline to predict Mami’s ideal return plan
Liv Morgan took her on-screen romance angle with Dirty Dom to a whole another level by planting a passionate kiss on his lips on a recent red brand show, following Mysterio’s accidental help in winning and retaining the Women’s World Championship. That said, the budding love triangle still seems one-sided with DomDom, apparently not responding well.
Bulley Ray, 52, thinks when Dominik Mysterio reciprocates the interest and confesses that he also wants to kiss Morgan, that will be the ideal juncture when WWE should re-launch Ripley into the scene.
