After going through a series of medical tests and consultations with various specialists, Maryse finally found answers and support in Dr. Aliabadi. The doctor identified and removed 11 implants around her uterus and ovaries during laparoscopic surgery. However, laboratory results revealed that these implants were serous boundary ovarian tumors, a rare form of ovarian precancer of the ovaries. Maryse is scheduled to undergo a total hysterectomy in the coming weeks. In the surgery, her uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, and omentum will be removed, as well as abdominal lymph nodes for staging. The surgery plays a pivotal part in avoiding the tumors becoming cancerous. The normal survival rate for this form of cancer is less than a year.
In the post, Maryse also expressed her gratitude for the support she has received from the wrestling community. She also encouraged everyone to be mindful of their health and seek help if they experience similar symptoms. Throughout her WWE career, Maryse became one of the most prominent wrestlers in the women’s division.
