The Undertaker has retired from in-ring competition. WWE started teasing retirement during this year’s WrestleMania with ‘The Last Ride.’ One month ahead of Survivor Series, WWE posted documentaries and interviews to commemorate the 30 years of The Phenom and the retirement.

However, some people are still not convinced. Infamous WWE Writer Vince Russo said that this retirement was nothing but a fluke on the Legion of RAW.

Russo, responsible for many of WWE’s Attitude Era storylines, said, “This is his big retirement, right? This is it! This is it! His wife ain’t there? Bro, mark my words. Markdown this date. That interview ended with him in gimmick and Kane in gimmick and everybody gimmick.”

Russo sounded really confident as he said to his co-host, “The interview ended with ‘now it’s time for me to rest in peace.’ I guarantee you, Chris. Between now and WrestleMania, you’re going to have a heel say, ‘You don’t rest in peace until I say you rest in peace.’ Mark my words.”

Vince Russo thinks The Undertaker must come back ahead of WrestleMania

Vince Russo contributed edgy, controversial storylines involving sexual content, profanity, swerves, unexpected heel turns, and worked shoots in the storylines. His techniques are still used to this day.

Although he is not sure who the Undertaker’s opponent will be, he is sure The Phenom will get a final WrestleMania moment. He revealed, “I don’t know, bro, but there is no way they could put on something that ridiculous if that were really the final, final, final! I mean, absolutely no way! Is he going to like the way his retirement went last night? Is he not going to look at that back and say, ‘What the freak was I thinking?”

In Undertaker’s career, Russo started the Brothers of Destruction angle with Kane. Apart from that, he is contributed to the formation of D-Generation X, the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Mr. McMahon feud, the rise of The Rock, and Mick Foley’s three faces.
