Royal Rumble hits the screens in a month, making fans able to tap into the right mood for the upcoming WrestleMania season. Ahead of the giant PLE’s arrival, speculation has been running high regarding those returns that we don’t see coming.

Some bigwigs like The Rock, X Pac, Liv Morgan, Naomi, etc. emerged on the rumor card. That said, we are still far from sealing the anticipation game here. And it seems another marquee star is looming large to nail a shock Rumble return. We are talking about none other than the sidelined superstar, Sonya Deville.

Sonya Deville won her first WWE title victory on July 17th when she alongside Chelsea Green clinched the Women’s Tag Team Championships. But the glory didn’t last long as she ended up tearing her ACL apart during a highly physical bout against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair at a jacked-up SmackDown night on the 24th of July.

Surpassing the initial shock and the injury, the 30-year-old underwent surgery and came out better. While she is on the way to a speedy recovery, the exact timeline for the same is still unknown. That said, a recent report brought a shimmer of hope for everyone keen to see her back, and that too as early as the impending Royal Rumble this year.

It reads, ”Sonya Deville who was seen last week in Birmingham as well, was at the WWE performance center last several days. She is recovering from a torn ACL tear suffered in August”

Given the recent wrapping up of her ongoing legal complexities due to a gun charge, it seems more viable for the former women’s tag team champion to step back into the WWE ring at the marquee PLE.

However, moving forward, let’s quickly peep through the Women’s Rumble card confirmed so far.

WWE names confirmed for the Women’s Royal Rumble match so far

The Women’s Royal Rumble first came into existence back in 2008. Working identically to their male counterparts, the 30- powerhouse women’s match will butt heads against each other to decide who will walk away with their shot at the women’s world championship or WWE women’s title at WrestleMania.

To discuss this year’s winter extravaganza, WWE only officially locked three women to bring out their magic at Tropicana Field, Florida. The women involve Bayley, Becky Lynch, and Nia Jax, with Bayley being the first among all the three to ensure her spot.

Adding the rumor card of all the potential returns to the confirmed ones, we can surely expect a huge exhibition of female dominance at the PLE.
