Mandy Rose was on a roll as the longest-reigning NXT Women’s Champion until she was forced to lose to Roxanne Perez. Following her title loss, Rose was unceremoniously fired by the WWE for having a subscription-based side project where she posted racy pictures of herself.

Her expulsion was met with indignation from wrestling fans. Triple H was in full control of the creative team at the time. Rose would keep a stiff upper lip and move on with other pursuits after her release. During an interview, Rose broke her silence on the issue and pointed out the double standards in WWE.

Many Rose had a spectacular run in NXT. The leader of Toxic Attraction held the NXT Women’s Championship for 413 days. However, she was sent away because of a side project. Months after her release, the superstar revealed WWE mentioned nothing about her “racy” pictures online when laying her off.

While speaking with The New York Post, Mandy Rose said that WWE did not directly indicate that they were letting go of her due to her “racy images”. Their reason was that she was making money off WWE on a third-party platform. She said, “I wasn’t told about racy images, I wasn’t told about anything else. I was told about the subscription-based platform. What’s the definition of racy? The photo of me with two titles – I was completely naked underneath, that’s considered a racy photo, right?”

Ironically, Shawn Michaels did a very similar photoshoot back in 1996 for the magazine, Playgirl, with the WWE title covering his private parts. However, since times were different, Michaels was not punished. Moreover, WWE was seemingly assenting to Michaels posing for a magazine.

However, Rose added she was grateful for the career she had in WWE. She was just trying to make some extra money. Everybody is fungible in the wrestling business and she was only looking out for herself.

Mandy Rose made a fortune from FanTime

Mandy Rose’s abrupt release from WWE came with a silver lining. Just days after getting the axe, Rose’s FanTime account flourished as she capped off 2022 by becoming a millionaire. ‘The Golden Goddess’ reportedly earned $1 million from her FanTime account in December.

In addition, she and her fiance, Tino Sabbatelli, made a lavish purchase. Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful reported that Rose and Sabbatelli bought a Rolls Royce after the former’s success on FanTime.

At this point, it is unknown if Mandy Rose has any inclination to make her much-awaited return. But it is evident that the former NXT Women’s Champion is making a whole lot more money from her non-wrestling pursuits than she did from her WWE contract.
