Tommaso Ciampa has been a well-known name in the wrestling circuit, even though the WWE superstar has surprisingly spent very little time on the WWE main roster. His work in the independent circuit and NXT has won the former ROH World Television champion a lot of acclaim. The hard-hitting wrestler would have been looking for a sustained run in the main roster. However, his aspirations have been cut short by a recent injury.

Ciampa was paired up with The Miz in his recent run. And it was his long-time friend Johnny Gargano who first broke the news of Ciampa’s injury in the latest edition of Raw.

The fans were apprehensive about the claims made by Johny Wrestling, however, the injury news has now been confirmed. The Boston-born wrestler announced successful surgery for a hip injury in an Instagram post. Ciampa began his post by stating, “The road to recovery begins. It’s a familiar road. Almost too familiar’.

He was referring to the numerous injuries sustained throughout his career. Ciampa was also sidelined with a neck injury in 2019. This recent setback has dented his hopes of a consistent run on the main roster.
